In order to provide children with the best possible start, pregnant women and children ages 0 to 5 need access to quality health care and health information. Children who are uninsured or underinsured don’t receive adequate health education, preventative care, and needed services. First 5 supports programs that prevent and treat health problems in young children so they can be alert, strong, and eager to learn.
