Several events planned to celebrate & support Napa County’s LGBTQ community

Napa Pride Month returns in June 2022, featuring a variety of events with proceeds to benefit local LGBTQ organizations. Napa Valley Pride offers events all month long, with highlights including the Third Annual Pride Cruise Night, the Annual Rainbow Play Date, Youth Movie Nights, American Canyon Pride Pop Up/Parade, Brandi Carlile at Oxbow River Stage, Blue Note Pride Dance featuring DJ Rotten Robbie, the annual Dining Out at the Q, culminating with a special Look of Love performance at Blue Note Napa by Kellie Fuller and the Mike Greensill Trio on National Give Out Day. More events are being added soon.

Thursday, June 2
Youth Movie Night
3:30-6PM
Napa County Library
Laugh, cry, and MARVEL as we watch 2021’s Spider-man: No Way Home. Attendees will receive a prop bag full of surprises and instructions for interacting with the 2021 movie. Presented by the LGBTQ Connection and Napa County Library. Located in the Community Meeting Room at the Napa County Library, for ages 11-18.

Saturday, June 4
Pride Cruise Night
7:00 – 9:00 PM
Jefferson Street, Napa
Come out and celebrate Pride Month while remaining socially distant. Decorate your cars to show your Pride! Drive up and down Jefferson from Trancas St. to Downtown Napa. We’ll have prizes for best decorated cars and ways to make donations to LGBTQ Connection Napa. KVYN 99.3 FM The Vine will broadcast Pride music by DJ Rotten Robbie for you to blast in your car. Please drive safely & observe socially distant rules. An LGBTQ+ friendly event, welcoming all friends, family & allies. You only have to drive straight!

Pride Cruise Night Afterparty

After Pride Cruise Night, please join us at the newest Napa hot spot The Arbaretum, Napa Valley Distillery’s new location at the corner of First & Coombs in downtown Napa. Specialty cocktails all night long. 21+. Donations to benefit LGBTQ Connection Napa.

Pride Playdate

Join LGBTQ and Ally families for our annual Pride Month Rainbow Play Date on Sunday, June 5th at 12pm! All Families, Kids, Genders, Identities, and Races are welcomed and celebrated at Rainbow Play Dates! Enjoy rainbow crafts, diverse books, snacks, connection and more. We will have a short children’s Pride Parade at 1:30pm. Families that register will receive a First 5/Rainbow Action Network Pride pack (up to 50 families). Including a resource guide for caregivers, diverse children’s books, and craft activities. Our event will also include activity stations with additional Rainbow crafts! This year’s Pride Pack includes the books My Rainbow by Trinity and DeShanna Neal and the board book We are little feminists: Hair by Brook Sitgraves Turner and Archaa Shrivastav. Come out, celebrate, and get connected with your local LGBTQ community, friends & family for some fun in the sun. We’ll have park games, food vendors, and a free raffle for everyone who shows up!

Virtual Art Talk: Expressions of Gender in Asian Art

Fluid, rigid, subversive, transformative. Gender expression spans culture, time, and space. Non-binary and gender fluid depictions have existed in Asian Art for thousands of years. In celebration of Pride Month, experienced docent Mary Mead will explore some of the fascinating various Asian cultures have represented people and deities as male, female, and non-binary.

DJ Rotten Robbie will be on hand accepting donations for the LGBTQ Connection. Please stop by, say hi and support the cause!

Come out & dance at Napa’s premiere nightclub, Blue Note Napa. DJ Rotten Robbie will be spinning the Pride tunes all night long, with some surprise guests! Donations will support LGBTQ Connection Napa.

Friday, June 24
Vinyl + Wine

Carneros Inn Resort
New event this year! Join us at Napa’s hottest patio wine party. DJ Rotten Robbie will be spinning an all vinyl set of music. Come out and dig through his crates and pick out a fun LGBTQ themed artist. Donations will support LGBTQ Connection Napa.

Chalk for Pride

Let’s celebrate Pride month with our Chalk for Pride event in collaboration with the Napa Library and First 5’s Rainbow Action Network (RAN)! Create colorful chalk art around the library’s sidewalk that supports our LGBTQIA+ community. Chalk will be provided.

Blue Note Napa presents a special musical evening to benefit the LGBTQ Connection. Kellie Fuller teams up with the Mike Greensill Trio for “The Look of Love”, an evening of memorable songs from the 1960’s made famous by artists such as Dionne Warwick, Brasil 66, The Beatles, Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield and more, delivered by Kellie and Mike with their own style and flair. This special Blue Note evening of music coincides with National Give Out Day
