Activity

Take this opportunity to talk about LOVE. Ask your child who they love. Ask them why they love that person. Then encourage them to make a “love note” for the person they love. It could be a friend, a grandparent, a sibling, or a neighbor. Have them list the reasons they love that person on the note (e.g., you make the best cookies, you give the best hugs, you tell funny jokes). Use materials you have (e.g, construction paper, tissue paper, crayons, paints). Find ideas at the following links:

Make sure your child sends/delivers the love note to the person they love. It will make their day!

Reflection/Discussion

Your child might ask, “why do people get married?” The simplest and most inclusive answer to this question is, “When two people love each other they can choose to get married.”
